From the Manufacturer
Stationed in orbit above Earth, SOUNDWAVE swiftly taps into every satellite in range. Within minutes, communications, data traffic, weather information, and high-resolution spy photography flood his sensor net. The spill of data fills him with pleasure, and one by one, the humans’ systems come under his complete control. From his seat on high, he is in a position to control the destiny of mankind without their knowledge…or to run their civilization into (more…)

I went to my local Toys R Us and today, we have ROTF in stock. I got this guy and legends class Bumblebee. I was looking forward to this guy since I first saw him. The only real complaint I have is that the ball hinge on one of his legs is looser than the other. But very minor. I wanted to get FAB Skids, but they didn’t have him. I recomend this.

I have 5 grandsons so I buy a lot of toys, particularly transformers.
What I am noticing is they are becoming less well made and harder to
change than the older ones.

I only have a few miner gripes w/ this toy. 1 i thought it should be a Voyager size toy, *like Ironhide, Starscream etc* but whatever. I wish he had more secure snaps or hooks to hold things in place better. but other then that i like that fact that he’s a satillite more then a mass-shifting 30 ft robot, and a 15inch boombox.

i prefer the giant helicopter/tank in the PS2 game he resembled, however the movie Soundwave kicked buns, he kind of looks animated, but still cool, and i know its not Hasbro’s fault i prefer the movie toys to the animated ones. pretty cool how he retains his Cybertronian forms, and can then become a satellite, to bad they didn’t make a toy satellite for him to hack …hehe heh… anyways i love his quick transformations, and transparent blue circular parts which resemble sub woofers haha. only downfall for me was his satellite mode was too similar to his vehicular mode or the other way around. so i turned his side blade/solar panels in during satellite mode resembling a caccoon, and hung him from my ceiling, Yay! didn’t have any weapons but neither did his movie counterpart, but his ravage missile made me want to buy deluxe ravage, which i did… don’t tell my mother.

This is a great toy to add to your collection of Transformers.
I hope they make a LeaderShip version of SoundWave

I picked up the new Soundwave and was quite surprised by how much I enjoy this figure. Its robot mode is awesome allowing for some pieces to be moved around to create interesting poses, The flight and satellite are mostly the same but still looking good the missile on his back I assume represents the same missile he fired in the movie which was a entry pod for ravage has a cool detailed look about it.
As a collector of transformers (just starting out) this is a pretty good Soundwave. I would suggest all collectors and fans of transformers to pick it up.
